• On Wednesday, April 17, 2013 the Middletown Police Department Detective Bureau arrested Michael Crupi, age 35, from Linden Avenue in Middletown, NJ, for armed robbery of the Bevaquas’s Deli on March 25, 2013. Police say Crupi entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detective Laurence Schachtel of the Middletown Police Department conducted a lengthy investigation and was able to develop information linking Crupi to the robbery. Detective Schachtel was then contacted by New York City Police Detectives assigned to the 123 Precinct who had seen a suspect flyer sent out by Detective Schachtel. Crupi fit the description of a suspect who committed two armed robberies in Staten Island, one of a Game Stop Store and the other of a bakery.
Detective Schachtel and the New York City Police Detectives worked together and were able to link Crupi to the two robberies in Staten Island.
Detective Schachtel charged Crupi with Robbery, Theft, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was also charged with Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Suboxone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe which was found in his possession when he was arrested at his home. Police also seized proceeds from the Staten Island robberies as well as the Chevy Malibu he drove to commit the robberies.
Crupi was also charged with two counts of Armed Robbery in New York City. He was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold, NJ, on $355,000.00 bail set by Judge John Mullaney of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
• On Thursday, April 18, 2013 at approximately 10:55am Middletown Police responded to a report of a suspicious male in the area of Ivy Hill Lane. The caller reported the male was observed walking in the area and then getting in a white Kia which was currently parked on Southhall Lane. Corporal Keith MacDonald and Detective Kimberly Best located the vehicle which was occupied by Catherine Archer, age 51, from Asbury Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ. The officers, along with Detective Lieutenant Stephen Dollinger and Detective Sergeant Barner conducted an investigation which led them to believe the male subject was in the area committing a burglary to a home.
Police set up a perimeter and began going door to door checking homes. Patrolman Scott Davis and Patrolman Andrew Micalizzi located a broken window to one of the homes on Southhall Lane and secured the residence until backup officers could arrive. Detective Lieutenant Stephen Dollinger was able to reach the male suspect, identified as Raymond Fisher, age 34, from Courtland Street in Neptune, NJ, on his phone and convinced him to surrender to officers on the scene. Fisher was taken into custody by Sergeant First Class William Colangelo and Patrolman Anthony Gigante.
Detective William Strohkirch conducted the follow up investigation which resulted in Archer being charged with Burglary, Conspiracy and Theft for the Burglary on Southhall Lane. He also developed information connecting her to a Burglary that took place on Swimming River Road in Tinton Falls, NJ. The Tinton Falls Police Department charged her with Burglary, Conspiracy and Theft as well. She was released pending a court date.
Detective Strohkirch charged Fisher with four counts of Burglary, Theft and Conspiracy for committing burglaries on Southhall Lane, Chapel Hill Road, Navesink River Road and Tilton Place in Middletown. Fisher was also charged with Burglary, Theft, Conspiracy and Criminal Mischief by the Tinton Falls Police Department for the burglary on Swimming River Road. He was being held on $50,000.00 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.
• Christine Oliva, age 31, from Seabreeze Way in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on April 15, 2013 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield for Simple Assault. She was released pending a court date.
• Stephen Gross, age 34, from New Monmouth Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on April 15, 2013 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Eatontown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $89.00 bail.
• Sandra Shaw, age 52, from Highway 36 in Middletown, NJ, arrested on April 15, 2013 by Patrolman Charles Higgins for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief. She was held on $1,000.00 bail.
• Melanie Marchese, age 29, from Georgetown Road in Colts Neck, NJ, arrested on April 15, 2013 by Patrolman Brian McGrogan for Driving While Intoxicated. She was released pending a court date.
• Kevin Allen, age 29, from Powell Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on April 15, 2013 by Detective Kevin Gardiner on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $1,000.00 bail.
• Lina Laguna, age 22, from Essex Street in Middletown, NJ, arrested on April 16, 2013 by Patrolman Andrew Siciliano on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Asbury Park Municipal Court. She was released after posting $281.00 bail.
• Condida Raffaele, age 50, from Dawnlee Drive in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on April 16, 2013 by Patrolman Andrew Siciliano for Shoplifting from the Kohl’s store. She was released pending a court date.
• Domonique Logan, age 19, from Sairs Avenue in Long Branch, NJ, arrested on April 16, 2013 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Neptune City Municipal Court. She was held on $297.00 bail.
• Alexis Dematteo, age 18, from Oakes Avenue in Belford, NJ, arrested on April 16, 2013 by Patrolman Anthony Bumbico and Patrolman Richard Fulham of the Quality of Life Unit on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was held on $1,000.00 bail.
• On April 17, 2013 Patrolman Brady Carr arrested a 17 year old male juvenile from Wallington, NJ, for Criminal Trespass, Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest. He was released pending a court date.

• Thomas Cox, age 54, from Avenue C in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on April 20, 2013 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $500.00 bail.
• Robert Brooksbank, age 25, from Riverside Avenue in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on April 20, 2013 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court. He was released after posting $240.00 bail.
