November 2– A resident from Garden Rd. reported Identity Theft after discovering that an unknown person(s) obtained the resident’s social security information and attempted to open up credit card accounts. P.O. Brian Miller and Det. Sgt. Greg Oliva investigated.

November 2– Fernando Torres, 26, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Silverside Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Freehold Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $164.00. P.O. Taylor Doremus made the arrest.

Criminal Mischief: On 01/18/18 in the area of Marine Park it was reported that two white lighthouse power/ water stations were broken and thrown into the water. Also two gray plastic borough garbage cans were also thrown into the water and two swastikas were drawn on top of the snow and ice in the water. Theft: On 01/07/18 in the area of Broad St it was reported a subject was seen taking items from a store. The subject is described as a white male with slight facial hair wearing a wool hat, approximately 30 years of age and 6 feet tall. LITTLE SILVER: MAN ACCUSED OF $9M THEFT

The federal Securities and Exchange Commission alleges a Little Silver man stole $9 million from a health and education charity set up with funds from a late client of his financial advisory services, according to a news release issued by the agency last week.

In a parallel action, the Manhattan District Attorney filed criminal charges against John Rogicki, the SEC said.
