Friday, July 28:

RED BANK: The Downtown hosts Daddy Pop, an eclectic cover band. Let the octuplet take you back with their renditions of hits by the Jackson 5 and Frankie Valli or leave you tapping your feet to the latest hits from Black Eyed Peas and J Lo. The show starts at 10 p.m. 10 West Front Street.

RED BANK: Co-founder of the Talking Heads, David Byrne returns to the Count Basie Theatre, where the concert film “Between the Teeth” was made. This time, he’s bringing Annie Clark, better known by her stage name St. Vincent, for the release of their collaborative album “Love This Giant.” Tickets are $35, $45, $59.50, and $75. The show starts at 8 p.m. 99 Monmouth Street.

RED BANK: Taste This tickles your taste buds at the Walt Street Pub. The party and dance band serves up rock and roll and other classics. The show begins at 8 p.m. 180 Monmouth Street.

MIDDLETOWN: Nancy Scharff has been performing patriotic concerts since 1997. She returns to her home place of worship, King of Kings Lutheran Church, for her annual “God & Country Patriotic Concert” to benefit the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. Joining her are the St. Peter’s Brass Quintet, the Marine Motor Transport Battalion choir as well as Ecumenical and Children’s Choir. Donations are suggested and refreshments will be served. The show begins at 7:30. 250 Harmony Road.

RED BANK: New Jersey singer/songwriter Bob Burger returns to Basil T’s for a Friday night set beginning at 7 p.m. 183 Riverside Avenue.

Saturday, June 29:

RED BANK: Sippin’ on the River kicks off a two-day celebration of summer fun, food and drinks. Presented by Red Bank Flavour, the weekend consists of culinary creations from different Red Bank restaurants and vendors, as well as a beer and wine garden, live music – including Dead Bank at 4:45 p.m. – and more. Day one runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission $5. Marine Park.

RED BANK: The Haven, Jersey Shore and party band, hit Walt Street Pub. The show begins at 9:30 p.m. 30 Monmouth Street.

MIDDLETOWN: Students in grades 7 through 12 are invited to join OASIS-NJ@AT&T for a free workshop on how to develop a mobile application at the Middletown Public Library. Bring your Android devices and USB chords, no prerequisites or experience is need. Registration is required, online or by phone. The workshop begins at 12:30 p.m. 55 New Monmouth Road.

MIDDLETOWN: Teen prodigy Ross Riordan gives a free concert at the Middletown Public Library. The local pianist will perform a diverse set of original compositions that promise “lovely, complex rhythms as well as quiet, brooding melodies.” The concert begins at 2 p.m. 55 New Monmouth Road.

RED BANK: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Blues pioneer Buddy Guy appears at the Count Basie Theatre with opening act, Quinn Sullivan, a 13-year-old guitarist/singer/songwriter who was featured on Guy’s Grammy-nominated album, “Skin Deep.” Tickets are $59.50, $49.50,  $39.50, and $25. The show begins at 8 p.m. 99 Monmouth Street.

Sunday, June 30:

RED BANK: The Galleria Red Bank Farmers Market presents fresh produce from local farms and highlights area eateries and unique crafts. Support the community and gain knowledge about local business development. The market runs every Sunday through November form 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Corner of Bridge Avenue and West Front Street.

RED BANK: Sippin’ on the River concludes with a day of culinary offerings of local restaurants and food vendors. Sip through your Sunday in the beer and wine garden while live music provides the soundtrack for the day. Sippin’ on the River runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Marine Park.

RED BANK: Test out your pipes at Open Mic with Rob Dye and Mike Ghegan. Jamian’s Food & Drink is the place to find musicians, new ideas, classic covers, and a relaxed hangout spot. Open Mic runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. 79 Monmouth Street.

SEA BRIGHT: Catch an evening flick, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, at Sea Bright Municipal Beach shortly after sunset as part of the Sea Bright Free Summer Movie Series. The movie begins roughly around 8:30 p.m. also presented by Shore Flicks. Sea Bright Municipal Beach.

Remember: Nothing makes a Red Bank friend happier than to hear "I saw you on Red Bank Green!"
