Brace yourselves for ecstasy, peach lovers.

August in New Jersey means great, lightly fuzzed spheres of sweet, juicy peaches. And we’ve got word on a couple of events meant to put you in a fruit frenzy.

The first is this Sunday, at the Farmers Market, the once-a-week open-air rialto in the parking lot of the Galleria Red Bank complex. There, the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council promises unspecified peach events “utilizing local talent and locally grown peaches.”

Then, next Saturday, August 8, Sickles Market hosts its annual “New Jersey Peach & Butterfly Release Day.” As regards the fruit, the store plans to spotlight “peach related products” and give a demonstration of how to grill peaches and use peaches as a barbecue marinade. The Galleria is at the corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and West Front Street in Red Bank. Sickles Market is off Rumson Road in Little Silver.
