A temporary utility pole will be erected on the north side of Monmouth Street at West Street in Red Bank to facilitate construction of the 57-unit Station Place apartment complex, under a measure approved by the borough council Wednesday night.
Installation of the pole will allow for the temporary removal of utility lines and the use of scaffolding to comply with federal OSHA workplace safety rules without having to shut off electrical power in the area, said Administrator Stanley Sickels.
Station Place developer Roger Mumford tells redbankgreen the apartments will be ready for occupancy at the end of the year. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)
