Mayor Pasquale Menna said the council will soon introduce an ordinance designating the adjoining parking space for EVs only.  Violators would be subject to the standard $38 ticket.

There was no mention at Wednesday night’s council meeting if EVs would have to be connected to the charger to avoid a ticket.

Meantime, a committee will come up with recommendations on setting fees for the electricity consumed by EVs, said Administrator Stanley Sickels.

He said he expects the town to host more EV chargers in the future.
