Ladies, it’s time to don a pair of fabulous heels and gather up the girlfriends for a night on the town – Red Bank’s first biannual Girls Night Out is here.
Hosted by Red Bank RiverCenter Thursday night, June 7, GNO will offer women the chance to take advantage of shopping discounts, dining and drink specials all over the downtown area. Participation is free.
GNO is the answer to many requests from local women, according to RiverCenter executive director Nancy Adams. A grand total of 63 local businesses are helping to kick off the event, which includes the check-in points of Monmouth Street Emporium and theGLAMbar on Broad Street.
At either one of these locations, ladies can stop in between 5 to 7 p.m. to receive a walking map of the businesses offering specials, as well as a reusable gift bag filled with treats, coupons, a raffle ticket, and some grab-bag items.
“Hopefully when they check in here, we’ll be able to style them, do their make-up, and get them all decked out and ready to go,” said Danielle Delgandio, head make-up artist and manager of GLAM2GO, theGLAMbar’s at-home service.
“Since our clientele is mostly women, we love to help them look their best and help portray what they’re feeling inside on the outside. We want everyone who walks out of here to feel fresh and confident.”
After that, the girls are on their own to peruse and shop. The more businesses each woman visits throughout the night, the higher her chances of winning thousands of dollars worth of prizes, such as overnight stays at the Molly Pitcher Inn and Oyster Point Hotel, a lobster dinner for two, a cooking class for two, and much more. Those who preregister will also be put in the running for a $100 Red Bank Gift Card.
The night’s after party will begin at 8:30 at Taste, at the Galleria, on Bridge Avenue, where the women will be greeted by a signature Girls Night Out cocktail and photographers as they walk the purple carpet. There, the raffle winners will be chosen and the night will continue with music by a Hurricane Productions DJ.
“Every girl wants to get pampered and feel special,” Delgandio said. “Women love that.” So don’t think, don’t hesitate, just find a babysitter and get crackin’ on finding the perfect outfit.
Mark your calendars, girls: the second Girls Night Out of 2012 is set for October 11, same time. More information can be found at RiverCenter’s online calendar.
