MIDDLETOWN: HEROIN CHARGES FOR TRIO

call-in-the-authorities• On February 27, 2013 the Middletown Police Detective Bureau and Quality of Life Unit executed a search warrant at a Hudson Avenue residence. The warrant execution was a result of a month long investigation conducted by Detectives Kevin Gardiner and Laurence Schachtel and Officers Richard Fulham and Anthony Bumbico regarding the distribution of narcotics from the residence.

Police charged Salvatore Sarna, age 20; Scott Leimsider, age 28; and Alexnadra Sarna, age 23, with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Alexandra Sarna was also charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. All three subjects lived at the residence and were released pending a court date.

• Steven Maritato, age 51, from Southview Terrace in Middletown, NJ, arrested on February 23, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

• Buddy Carson, age 37, from Broadway Way in Keyport, NJ, arrested on February 23, 2013 by Patrolman Daniel Benbrook for Theft. He was released pending a court date.

• Shannon Santos, age 24, from Wood Street in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on February 23, 2013 by Patrolman Robert Shannon on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $500.00 bail.

• Damon Dowd, age 36, from Willow Avenue in Hoboken, NJ, arrested on February 22, 2013 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing the Administration of Law. He was held on $5,000.00 bail with no 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Melissa Mackolin, age 18, from Rodger Avenue in Lincroft, NJ, arrested on February 22, 2013 by Corporal Gerald Weimer on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Rumson Municipal Court. She was released after posting $250.00 bail.

• Harold Cowdrick, age 29, from Blue Jay Court in Howell, NJ, arrested on February 22, 2013 by Patrolman Thomas Hughes for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

• Nicole Paci, age 22, from Blue Jay Court in Howell, NJ, arrested on February 22, 2013 by Police Officer Janine Kennedy on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Tuckerton and Princeton Municipal Courts. She was held on $618.00 bail.

• Mark Sullivan, age 26, from Main Street in Belford, NJ, arrested on February 22, 2013 by Detective Kevin Gardiner and Patrolman Anthony Bumbico of the Quality of Life Unit on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown and Holmdel Municipal Courts.  He was held on $1,300.00 bail.

• Theresa Costine, age 27, from Kimberly Court in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on February 24, 2013 by Patrolman Savino Capilupi for Simple Assault and on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the South Amboy Municipal Court. She was held on $1,500.00 bail.

• Sarah Keelen, age 24, from Main Street in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on February 23, 2013 by Patrolman Donald Coates for Driving While Intoxicated. She was released pending a court date.

• Kelly Jones, age 45, from Campbell Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on February 24, 2013 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood for Driving While Intoxicated and on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Red Bank and Lodi Municipal Courts and a warrant issued by the Essex County Superior Court. She was held pending a court date.

• Karen Born, age 54, from Beaver Place in Aberdeen, NJ, arrested on February 24, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. She was released pending a court date.

• William Woodruff, age 65, from Spring Street in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on February 24, 2013 by Corporal Daniel Murdoch for Shoplifting and Criminal Mischief. He was held on $2,000.00 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Christina Fautz, age 37, from 5th Street in Highlands, NJ, arrested on February 25, 2013 by Patrolman Andrew Micalizzi on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Highlands Municipal Court. She was released after posting $250.00 bail.

• Adam Stranges, age 21, from Seabreeze Avenue in Middletown, NJ, arrested on February 25, 2013 by Detective Kevin Gardiner and Officer Anthony Bumbico of the Quality of Life Unit on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Freehold Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,500.00 bail.

• Robert Backovsky, age 22, from Pinehurst Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on February 26, 2013 by Patrolman Keith Hirschbein for Simple Assault. He was released pending a court date.

• Christopher Gill, age 20, from Cherry Tree Lane in Middletown, NJ, arrested on February 26, 2013 by Detective Adam Finck for Theft. He was held on $10,000.00 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

• Scott Nicholas, age 58, from Maher Road in Freehold, NJ, arrested on February 26, 2013 by Patrolman Darrin Simon on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Ocean Municipal Court. He was released after posting $120.00 bail.

• Brian Muench, age 45, Isabella Court in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on February 26, 2013 by Patrolman James Beirne for Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

• Stephen Tucker, age 21, from Lane C in Hazlet, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Patrolman Ian May for Obstructing the Administration of Law. He was released pending a court date.

• Christopher Manigrasso, age 23, from Navesink Avenue in Highlands, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Corporal Bernie Chenoweth for Driving While Intoxicated. He was released pending a court date.

• Preston Lopriore, age 18, from East Roosevelt Circle in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.

• Jessie Carrdine, age 18, from Phalanx Road in Lincroft, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer for Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released pending a court date.

• Analia Soraide, age 37, from West Front Street in Red Bank, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Corporal Daniel Murdoch on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Atlantic City Municipal Court. She was released after posting $750.00 bail.

• Daniel Ward, age 36, from Center Street in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Patrolman Thomas Hughes on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $1,000.00 bail.

• Brent Stebbins, age 26, from Central Place in Belford, NJ, arrested on February 27, 2013 by Patrolman Robert Shannon on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.

• James Galyas, age 49, from Hosford Avenue in Leonardo, NJ, arrested on February 28, 2013 by Patrolman Brian McGrogan on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Hazlet Municipal Court. He was released after posting $750.00 bail.

• James Koenig, age 55, from Brainard Avenue in Port Monmouth, NJ, arrested on February 28, 2013 by Patrolman Adam Colfer on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $2,000.00 bail.

• Robert Gross, age 40, from Middlewood Road in Middletown, NJ, arrested on February 28, 2013 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $482.00 bail.

• Ryan Valli, age 22, from Beacon Boulevard in Keansburg, NJ, arrested on February 28, 2013 by Patrolman Thomas Hughes on a Contempt of Court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $500.00 bail.
