SHREWSBURY: BILL O’REILLY SUES PANTER

Bill O’Reilly has filed a lawsuit against former New Jersey Assembly member Michael Panter, who claimed in a Facebook post earlier this week that the former Fox New star sexually harassed Panter’s ex-girlfriend, according to Bloomberg News.

Panter, of Shrewsbury, told redbankgreen by email early Saturday that he had not read the Bloomberg report, and referred to a statement posted Friday on his Facebook page, in which he said he was “speaking the truth,” and expects his account to be “fully corroborated.”

RED BANK: MISSING SOLDIER’S REMAINS ID’D

The remains of a 17-year-old U.S. Army soldier from Red Bank who vanished during the Korean War have been found in North Korea, the Asbury Park Press reported Wednesday.

Dick Lucas had been in the field just two days when he disappeared in November, 1950. He died as a prisoner of war and was buried in a pit with other American captives, the Press reported.

Over vehement objections by Mayor Pasquale Menna, the Red Bank council approved a 90-day valet parking setup for a downtown restaurant Wednesday.

Menna called the proposal, by 26 West on the Navesink, to use narrow Boat Club Way as a valet parking dropoff and pickup location “insane.”

LITTLE SILVER: MAN ACCUSED OF $9M THEFT

The federal Securities and Exchange Commission alleges a Little Silver man stole $9 million from a health and education charity set up with funds from a late client of his financial advisory services, according to a news release issued by the agency last week.

In a parallel action, the Manhattan District Attorney filed criminal charges against John Rogicki, the SEC said.
