3/1- A Maple Ave resident reported that he had received a check from a closed account for a business transaction with a Middletown resident. After being contacted by Ptl. Dwayne Reevey, payment was made in full without incident.

3/4- A Lake Ave resident reported receiving a bill from Sprint in the amount $3,686.34 for a cell phone bill. Resident reported that he nor his family members had been customers of Sprit Mobile. Fraud report was completed by S/O Michael Volker.

02/1 – Patrols were dispatched to Fair Haven Fields for a reported theft. Upon arrival they were met by the victim who reported that an unknown actor(s) had broken the rear window of her vehicle and taken and bag containing personal items. Ptl. Brooks Robinson took the report.

02/3 – Joseph Radic, 45, Colts Neck was placed under arrest subsequent to a motor vehicle stop and charged with Driving while intoxicated. Mr. Radic also received citations for Speeding, Reckless driving, Failure to maintain lane and refusal to submit to breath samples. Subject was later released pending a court appearance. Ptl. William Lagrotteria was the arresting Officer.

HOT-TOPIC_03Extensive testing of Red Bank water has found no evidence of lead contamination, despite the presence of lead pipes serving some homes, a borough official said Wednesday night.

The remarks by public utilities Director Cliff Keen, made during the council’s first semimonthly meeting of 2017, came after a resident showed off  a water service line with a lead connector that was recently excavated outside his Spring Street home.

“For more than 20 years, I’ve been drinking out of a lead straw,” Alberto Larotonda told the council.

12/2- Brett Schwerin, 34, West Long Branch was placed under arrest for Driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. Mr. Schwerin was issued summonses for DWI and Reckless Driving. Mr. Schwerin was released pending a court appearance at Fair Haven Municipal Court. S/O Michael Volker was the arresting Officer.

12/15- Samuel J. Chandler, 18, Rumson, was placed under arrest for possession of Marijuana following a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Chandler was charged with Possession of under 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. Subject was processed and released pending a Court appearance at the Fair Haven Municipal Court. S/O Michael Volker was the arresting Officer.
