ANOTHER TRUCK STUCK

Yep, it happened again. For the second time in three days, and at least the fourth in the 12 days, a truck got stuck under the railroad overpass on West Front Street in Red Bank Saturday evening.

This one was heading east into town, but vehicles heading westbound have gotten hung up also.

As in other cases, the latest accident resulted in part of the truck’s roof being peeled back.

New Jersey Transit workers on the scene saw no damage to the trestle.

Red Bank police attribute the jams to inexperienced drivers who either ignore the signs showing the height limit — 10 feet, 11 inches — or think their vehicles are low enough to safely pass through.
