REPORT: MAN USES PIT BULL IN ROBBERY

Robbery occurring on 6-18-10 in the area of Catherine Street. Victim reported that an unknown black male subject, light complexion, approx. 5’8″ walking a pit bull approached him while walking and demanded the victim empty his pockets and if not the dog (pit bull) would attack. Victim gave the accused approx. $30.00 and the subject fled with the cash. Ptl. Robert Campanella. Det. Joey Fields.

Assault occurring on 6-17-10 but reported on 6-20-10 at Oakland St. and Shrewsbury Ave. Victim reported that two unknown black male subjects struck him in the face from behind, knocking him to the ground while he was walking. Victim reported that one of the subjects asked him for money, however they did not take anything and fled the area. Ptl. Thomas Doremus.

Criminal Mischief occurring at Bridge Avenue between 6-16-10 and 6-11-10. Employee reported that the KNOX box containing apartment keys was damaged and forced open by unknown person(s). Lt. Joshua Berbrick.

Criminal Mischief occurring at Bridge Ave. on 6-22-10. Victim reported that unknown person(s) scratched parked vehicle in several locations. Ptl. Jorge Torres.

Shoplifting occurring on 6-23-10 at Broad St. Employee reported that a black male subject took a bottle of wine and placed same in a black duffle bag, attempted to leave without paying for same. Suspect was stopped by employee and suspect gave the bottle back and then fled the area. Ptl. Nicholas Maletto.

Criminal Mischief occurring 6-23-10 at W. Westside Ave. Victim reported that unknown subject threw a rock at storm glass window in residence breaking same. Ptl. Nicholas Maletto.

Theft occurring on 6-23-10 at Broad St. Victim reported that unknown person(s) stole his bicycle which was parked on sidewalk, described as a green Trek 21 speed mountain bike by cutting lock. Lt. Daniel Bannon.

OTHER ARRESTS:
Jorge Pajaro-Luna male age 28 from Red Bank was arrested on 6-23-10 in the area of River St. for Hindering Apprehension by Ptl. Patrick Kennedy.

A juvenile male subject age 14 from Oceanport was arrested on 6-21-10 in the area of Broad St. for Simple Assault by Inv. Wendy Samis.

Brian Cunningham, age 34 male from Red Bank was arrested on 6-21-10 in the area of Reckless Place for Assault by Auto by Sgt. Errico Vescio.

Mujtabaa Muhammad, age 31 male of Long Branch was arrested on 6-20-10 in the area of S. Pearl St. for Poss. of CDS, Marijuana Under 50 grams by Ptl. Mathew Ehrenreich.
