A sudden downpour accompanied by lightning and thunder left streets in the Red Bank area awash in rainwater Monday evening.

We have no immediate word on lightning strikes or other damage from the storm, which rolled over Red Bank and Little Silver at about 7p and lasted less than 15 minutes before settling down to a moderate rainfall.

Remember: Nothing makes a Red Bank friend happier than to hear "I saw you on Red Bank Green!"
