rcsm2_0105081-220x165-9667185There’s lots to report here in the 200th installment of Retail Churn, as the comings and goings of storefront businesses and restaurants on the greater Red Bank Green is as lively as we’ve seen yet.

Take it past the jump for a thumbnail tour.

goldtinker-2-091914-500x375-5371174Joe Romanowski’s Goldtinker Jewelry opened at 24 Broad Street last month, consolidating his now-closed stores in Rumson and Deal in a space long home to Firehouse Specialty Shop. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)

auto-exotica-101414-500x375-1160044Frank Sala’s new Auto Exotica, a seller of high-end used cars, has completed exterior work on a new showroom at the former Budget car rental space on Newman Springs Road. Interior work, however, is not yet complete, and Sala hopes to open by December 1. He’ll also sell new Wheego electric cars. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)

blue-water-091914-500x375-6729606As previously reported, the owners of the yet-to-open Gotham gastropub on Broad Street have leased the long-closed Blue Water Seafood space just up the block, where they’re planning a seafood restaurant called Catch. Both should open in November, a principal tells Churn. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)

grove-west-101414-500x375-1105841In Shrewsbury, Metrovation has acquired 508 Broad Street (Route 35), former home of a day spa, for $1.1 million, and is planning an “extension” of its Grove West shopping center, partner Chris Cole tells Churn. No tenants are yet signed.

30burger-500x333-3912165Open just nine months, 30 Burgers on West Front Street in Red Bank closed last week. A sign on the door says renovations are planned. (Photo by Jim Willis. Click to enlarge)

rb-waynes-071013-500x375-5902808Nima Nili and partners, owners of the five-story 12 Broad Street, have acquired the former home of Wayne’s Market on West Front Street. No tenants signed yet, we’re told. And next door, in the former home of Love Lane Tuxedos (the white building at right), interior designer Amy Manor has pulled out of a plan to create an interior decorator’s emporium. Nili and partners, who also own that building, are proceeding with a wholesale makeover of the structure. (Photo by John T. Ward. Click to enlarge)
