Senior Thomas Ferrick of Middletown has been named to the Provost’s List at Hofstra University, an achievement for which the Exercise Science major met the eligibility requirement of a 4.0 grade point average.
The West Hempstead, NY campus also named sophomore Laura Bellini to the Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester. The Political Science major became one of more than 2,000 high-achieving students to meet the 3.4 GPA requirement.
Other township natives to make Dean’s List at their respective schools include Jonathan Harmon, a Social Work major at Castleton College in Castleton, VT. Junior Colleen O’ Leary (Providence College in Providence, RI) and fourth-year Biology major Francis Matuszak (St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, NY) were also honored for their academic achievement.
At James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, no less than five Middletowners made Dean’s List for fall 2013 — Meghan Calabro (sophomore majoring in Health Sciences), Gina Franciosi (sophomore majoring in Comm Sciences and Disorders), Kassie Gesuelli (freshman majoring in Marketing), Alexandra Heidt (sophomore majoring in Health Sciences), and Jaclyn Lino (senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies).
Junior Kelly Marie Stevens of Red Bank was named to the President’s List at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA for the fall 2013 semester — an academic achievement for which the major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies met the eligibility criteria of at least 12 graded credit hours, and a GPA of 3.9 or above.
James Madison University also named two other Red Bank students to the Dean’s List for the fall semester, including Allyson Amato, a senior majoring in Communication Studies, and Kelsey McMahon, a sophomore majoring in Modern Foreign Languages.
Other borough natives who made the fall semester Dean’s List at their respective schools include freshman Jenna Wyatt, who was among the more than 2,000 high-achieving students named to the Dean’s List for Fall 2013 by Hofstra University. The Red Bank resident, a Psychology major at the Hempstead, NY campus, met the requirement of at least a 3.4 grade point average to qualify.
At Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA, undergraduate student Lauren Marron met the eligibility criteria of at least 12 credits, and a minimum grade point average of 3.6. Junior Carolyn Oddo made the list as a Music major at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, meeting the requirement of a 3.6 GPA or higher.
Two Red Bank students were also named to the Dean’s List at Alvernia University in Reading, PA — Amanda Galanti (senior with a major in Sport Management), and Kelsey Simonson (sophomore with a major in Occupational Therapy).
Margaretmary Falcetano of Rumson graduated recently from Flagler College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree during a December commencement ceremony at the college campus in St. Augustine, FL. Fellow borough resident and Social Science major Kelsey Robbins was also the recipient of a BA degree, from Castleton College in Castleton, VT.
In other Class Act news involving students from Rumson and Fair Haven, Thomas Belluscio made the Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. The Rumson resident achieved the academic requirement of a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
At James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, sophomore Casey Bartel of Rumson made Dean’s List for the semester, with the Health Sciences major joining Fair Haven students Hayley Fox (sophomore majoring in Communication Studies) and Kelsey Kazmac (senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies) in the achievement.
Edward Sutphin III of Little Silver graduated recently from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design.
In other Class Act news involving Little Silver residents, senior and History major Christian Dilger made the Dean’s List at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC, meeting the academic requirement of a 3.5 grade point average. Graphic Design major Alexandra Sidun made the Dean’s List for fall 2013 at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
At Providence College, three borough natives made Dean’s List — Charles Best, Marie Flego, and Colin Scott. All are members of the Class of 2014 at the school in Providence, RI, the only place of higher learning in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars.
Middletown High School North graduate Charles Hamilton, a member of the Class of 2015 at Colgate University, is conducting research in Uncovering the Composition and Structure of Barnacle Cement and the Relation to its Hardness, with Physics and Astronomy; Pre-Engineering Professor Rebecca Metzler.
