FAIR HAVEN: VIDEO LEADS TO ARREST

Fair Haven police arrested a Keansburg man on car-burglary charges after a surveillance video caught him trying to sell a stolen item, borough police Chief Joe McGovern reported Monday.

Milo Rainey, 39, is suspected of having entered three vehicles in the area of Harding and Harvard roads on the night of July 9 and 10, McGovern said in a press release.

Theft: On 02/01/18 in the area of W Front St it was reported that two slabs of granite were stolen from the backyard of a residence. The granite is described as one rectangular slab and the other an L-shaped slab. Ptl. Garrett Falco.

Criminal Mischief: On 02/03/18 in the area of Catherine St it was reported a parked vehicle had numerous scratches made to the hood of the vehicle. Ptl. Frank Metta.

November 2– A resident from Garden Rd. reported Identity Theft after discovering that an unknown person(s) obtained the resident’s social security information and attempted to open up credit card accounts. P.O. Brian Miller and Det. Sgt. Greg Oliva investigated.

November 2– Fernando Torres, 26, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Silverside Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Freehold Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $164.00. P.O. Taylor Doremus made the arrest.

RED BANK: SON & FATHER BUSTED IN RAID

BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED, OUT ON BAIL

A suspect whose escape in the Dec. 10 burglary of a Catherine Street home was said to be witnessed by neighbors has been arrested, according to police Capt. Steve McCarthy, head of the detective bureau.

Milo Rainey, 28, who police said lives in both Red Bank and Keansburg, was arrested by Red Bank Ptl. Juan Sardo on Dec. 20 and charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

Municipal Court Judge William Himelman set bail at $55,000, and Rainey was released on bond the same day, McCarthy said.
