The  dusting of snow that denizens of the Greater Red Bank Green awoke to Monday could be followed by another after 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service

RED BANK: WARMER DAYS RETURN

The warming trend continues Monday, when temperatures were expected to peak at about 53 degrees, according to the National Weather Service

RED BANK: VORTEX BRINGS BITTER COLD

red bank, nj, sunsetred bank nj snow deiceWednesday was a day of cold weather that included a breathtaking snow squall and an impressive sunset to the Greater Red Bank Green.

Thursday morning brought bitter cold: at 6:30 a.m., the air was at 3 degrees, and wind made it feel like 16 below zero, according to the National Weather Service.

It’s all courtesy of a polar vortex gripping a large portion of the United States and causing multi-hour flight delays at airports. 

The cold was expected to linger through Friday, prompting Governor Phil Murphy to warn New Jerseyans to “stay inside” for safety.

RED BANK: AUTUMN TO END IN HEAVY RAIN

red bank nj weatherThe final day of autumn, 2018 will include a bit of frost, some sunshine and the start of a heavy rainfall on the Greater Red Bank Green, according to the National Weather Service.

After a day of partly sunny skies and temperatures peaking near 50 degrees, rain is likely to begin later in the day and continue through Friday. Up to three inches may fall, says the NWS, which has issued flooding and wind advisories.
